SILASTIC™ SA 9940-40

SILASTIC™ SA 9940-40 by Dow is an opaque, self-adhesive, oil-filled, 1-to-1 mix liquid silicone rubber (LSR). It is designed for 2-component liquid injection molding.

Exhibits unprimed instant adhesion to thermoplastic substrates like PBT and Polyamide.
Possesses fast curing for short cycle times and excellent process performance in a wide temperature range.
Offers improved rheology, is durable and works well against heat and humidity.
Used in automotive and industrial applications like connector seals, battery vent- & radiator gaskets, radar and lidar housing and LSR-thermoplastic composite parts.
The shelf-life of SILASTIC™ SA 9940-40 is 6 months.
