Varcum® 29217 by Sumitomo Bakelite is a highly condensed, one-step, pulverized phenolic resin. Displays stable frictional characteristics under heavy duty braking conditions. It is soluble in lower alcohols, ketones and esters. Varcum® 29174 is suitable for brake blocks and brake linings in dry mix frictional formulations.
