DYPHENE® 8318

DYPHENE® 8318 by Western Reserve Chemical is an oil-soluble, non-heat reactive alkyl phenolic novolac resin. Imparts exceptional initial tack & tack retention in green rubber stock after exposure to high temperature and humidity. Exhibits good compatibility and reduces compound viscosity. It functions as a processing aid and dispersion aid for compounding ingrediants. It can be diluted in acetone, toluene, xylene, hexane, methyl ethyl ketone, VM&P naptha, carbon tetrachloride and rubber solvents. DYPHENE® 8318 is recommended in tire cements, tire carcass stocks using NR/ SBR & NR/ SBR/ BR blends, and inner liner recipes containing chlorobutyl/ SBR/ NR blends. The shelf life of this product is more than 1 year at temperature of 100°F or lower.
