Hostaform® C 52021 XAP® LS30/5473 by Celanese is an extremely easy flowing, very hard and rigid, heavy-metal free POM (polyoxymethylene) copolymer grade. Exhibits outstanding chemical (solvents, fuels & strong alkalis)-, hydrolysis-, fatigue-, creep-, moisture- and stress cracking resistance. Also exhibits toughness (up to -40°C), good heat distortion temperature (up to 100°C), very good slip/ wear properties, excellent resilience, low moisture absorption and higher stability to thermal and oxidative degradation compared to acetal homopolymers. Hostaform® C 52021 XAP® LS30/5473 shows easy colorization. It permits processing at reduced temperature and shorter cycle times. It can be processed by injection molding. Suitable for lower mechanical requirement applications and very thin-walled precision molded parts having unfavorable flow-path wall thickness relation.
