ELVAX™ 4260

ELVAX™ 4260 by Dow is a high molecular weight, blend of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and acid terpolymer grade, filled with 28%wt vinyl acetate comonomer content and 1wt% methacrylic acid. It contains butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant as a thermal stabilizer. It shows superior hot tack, improved grease resistance and optimum barrier properties. It imparts flex crack resistance, excellent clarity, cling, impact- and puncture resistance. It can be processed by injection molding, compounding, sheet & shape extrusion, structural foam molding, blow molding and wire coating. It can also be processed using conventional rubber processing techniques such as Banbury, two-roll milling and compression molding. ELVAX™ 4260 is recommended for sealants, coating and industrial applications. Suitable for hot melt systems where improved adhesion to polar, nonporous substrates is required.
