ELVAX™ 4355

ELVAX™ 4355 by Dow is a high molecular weight, blend of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and acid terpolymer grade, filled with 25%wt vinyl acetate comonomer content and 1wt% methacrylic acid. It contains butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant, used as a thermal stabilizer. It imparts good toughness, flexibility and seal strength in blends with wax. It exhibits flex crack resistance, excellent clarity, cling, impact- and puncture resistance. It can be processed by injection molding, compounding, sheet & shape extrusion, structural foam molding, blow molding and wire coating. It can also be processed using conventional rubber processing techniques such as Banbury, two-roll milling and compression molding. ELVAX™ 4355 is recommended for non-peelable sealants and industrial applications. Complies with Food and Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR 177.1330(a).
