ELVAX™ 460

ELVAX™ 460 by Dow by Dow is ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer grade, filled with 18%wt vinyl acetate comonomer content. It contains butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant as a thermal stabilizer. It exhibits toughness, flex crack resistance, excellent clarity, cling, impact- and puncture resistance. It offers flexibility, resilience, environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR), optical properties and good mechanical performance. It is lightweight, favorable value-in-use and economics. Designed for compounding, injection molding, structural foam molding, sheet & shape extrusion, blow molding and wire coating. It is recommended for packaging & industrial applications, footwear, sealants and wax blends. It is used as semi-conductor shields and in insulation & jacketing of type GXL automotive primary wire and in UL and CSA-listed (150°C) motor lead wire. Compounds based on ELVAX™ 460 are UL-listed (125°C) for appliance wire insulation. Complies with Food and Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR 177.1350(a)(1).
