ELVAX™ 460A

ELVAX™ 460A by Dow is ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer grade, filled with vinyl acetate comonomer. It contains butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant as a thermal stabilizer. Exhibits flex crack resistance, excellent clarity, cling, impact- and puncture resistance. It is suitable for processing by injection molding, structural foam molding, blow molding and wire coating. ELVAX™ 460A is recommended for industrial applications. Used as semi-conductor shield, in insulation & jacketing of type GXL automotive primary wire and in UL & CSA-listed (150°C) motor lead wire. Compounds based on these resins are UL-listed (125°C) for appliance wire insulation. Complies with Food and Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR 177.1350(a)(1).
