KURARAY POVAL™ 20-98 LA by Kuraray is a polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) with low ash content. It is water soluble and is manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. Exhibits good penetration capacity, good cohesion and good adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments. It influences the rheology of polymer emulsions including particle size distribution, viscosity, stability to stirring, freeze/ thaw stability, pigment compatibility and electrolyte stability. It can be used as a protective colloid, binder in sizes and emulsion polymerization aid. KURARAY POVAL™ 20-98 LA has a shelf life of 12 months.
