KURARAY POVAL™ 28-98 K by Kuraray is a biodegradable, defoamed polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) grade. It exhibits excellent water solubility, strong film-forming, oil- and grease resistance. It provides colorability, good pigment-ability, adhesiveness, low ash & VOC content, emulsifying and wetting properties on polar substances. KURARAY POVAL™ 28-98 K is suitable for processing by injection molding and blown or flat film extrusion. It is used as adhesive promoters and protective colloids. It is applicable in adhesives, specialty papers, building materials (additive for mortar, cement etc.), polymerization (emulsion/suspension), temporary binders for ceramics, gas barrier coating, textiles sizing and fluid loss control in oil well cementing.
