RTP 287 D

RTP 287 D is a nylon (polyamide) 6/12 grade reinforced with 40% carbon fiber. Exhibits reduced crystallinity, low water absorption, strength, heat resistance, chemical resistance (excellent for weak alkalis and good for weak acids-, organic solvents-, hydrocarbons- & fuels), wear resistance and lubricity. It can be processed using injection molding. Suitable for applications requiring good physical properties, moisture resistance and good dimensional stability. Applications include gears for conveyor drives, cams, structural & electrical components, automotives, electronics, medical devices, pump & tool housings, HVAC base pans & fan blades, panels, handles, brackets and components used in heavy equipment, plumbing fittings, valve bodies and power tools.
